3ds Sculpt Layers demo

Sculpt Layers in 3DCoat is currently in Beta development, but this is just a brief demo of it in practice.

Sculpt Layers were always part of 3DCoat, when working on Low-Poly, UV mapped Paint Objects, but was not available to High-Poly Sculpt Objects in the Sculpt Workspace. Now, the user can.

Paint on the Depth channel is enabled for dense Sculpt Meshes, and any sculpting done on Sculpt objects with Surface mode and LiveClay brushes, within the Sculpt Workspace, will also be stored in the Depth Channel.

In short, this means Multi-Million Poly sculpt meshes (objects created or imported into the Sculpt workspace) has full use of the the COLOR, DEPTH, GLOSS & METALNESS channels. Additionally, Smart Materials can be used to paint and sculpt simultaneously on a high poly sculpt object.
